Turnkey Air
Conditioning
(West Midlands)
Ltd was established
in June 07.
The new operation
forms part of
our planned
business expansion,
introducing
a base in the
heart of the
West Midlands.
It will enable
us to strengthen
the support
structure for
major clients
in this area
such as Thorntons,
in Derby and
JD Sports who
have nationwide
coverage, with
many outlets
in this region.
Management
Team.
At Turn
Key Air Conditioning
we have brought
together a team
with in-depth
experience and
a broad range
of skills.
Most of our management team have worked as consultants and are
members of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineering
(CIBSE).
Most of our project managers are graduates in Building Services
Engineering. Whilst our specialism is in air conditioning, we have
considerable expertise in the much wider scope of organisation and
management of building services activity.
Within the management structure of Turn Key Air Conditioning we
have established 4 prime functions:
1. Project management.
This role covers the total process of site surveys, design, cost
analysis, contract supervision and accounting.
The project managers are the focal point of contact between TKAC
and the client and they co-ordinate all activity and liaison between
the two.
2. Engineering management.
Here we ensure that we are familiar with all of the latest developments
in the air conditioning equipment options to provide optimal solutions
for clients and satisfy current legislation. We also ensure that
we are familiar with all new methods of installation – which
can have effects on cost and air conditioning system installation
time scales.
This function is also responsible for safety in terms of training,
certification and compliance with clients' on-site requirements.
3. Service & maintenance co-ordination.
Whether installed by Turn Key Air Conditioning or
not our Service and Maintenance Department is more than happy to
co-ordinate your air conditioning system service and maintenance
needs.
With national coverage, and response times tailored to meet your
specific needs, Turn Key Air Conditioning currently covers over
1,000 sites from Inverness to St. Helier.
4. Installation and service engineers.
Our installation and service engineering teams are trained
beyond the level required for air conditioning installation. We
ensure that the teams have a range of skills in other trades which
enables them to keep a job moving when other contractors would be
stopped by obstacles of various kinds.
Health and Safety.
At Turn Key Air Conditioning, safety is our number one priority.
All of our service teams and anyone else who makes site visits carry
the CSCS skills card.
We are strong supporters of this initiative and we now find that
an increasing number of our clients make this a condition of contract.
Safecontractor Scheme.
Safecontractor is an accreditation scheme that assesses the health & safety competency of contractors and service providers. Companies have a legal obligation to ensure that external contractors and service providers working on their premises operate in a safe way.
TK Air Conditioning is frequently asked to provide H&S data before operating on clients’ sites. Safecontractor is an organisation that assesses contractors’ health & safety arrangements.
TK Air Conditioning is an accredited air conditioning contactor on the Safecontractor Scheme. It is anticipated that this arrangement will streamline the H&S assessment process, as we will have been vetted by a respected independent authority.
Sales
Management.
In January 2007,Tony
Parlett joined
us as Sales
Manager. Tony
has previously
worked for air
conditioning
OEM, Daikin.
Prior to Tony’s
arrival Turn
Key Air Conditioning
has won most
of its work
from referral
and repeat business.
Tony is now
working to intensify
the awareness
of TKAC amongst
air conditioning
specifiers.
