Air Conditioning System Installation Projects

Detailed below are some of the projects that Turn Key Air Conditioning have completed.

Newcastle Airport International Hotel.
 
Fully air conditioned.

TK Air Conditioning has supplied and installed all air conditioning to the hotel rooms, reception areas, bars and restaurants. The builder is Shepherd Construction Ltd (SCL), the M&E contractor is Shepherd Engineering Services.

The VRV outdoor units installed for this project are all water cooled, as opposed to air cooled. This is the largest VRV water cooled air conditioning system in the North East. Height restriction on the building because of the Newcastle Airport radar shadow led us to specify water cooled condensers, because space was at a premium and water cooled air conditioning condensers are half the height of standard VRV units. They can also be double stacked and so the footprint is halved. Deakin water cooled equipment was used for this air conditioning application, which we have found to be ideal for use in  this kind of restricted area.

ALLSPORTS.

This project involved the opening of 30 new high street stores and the overhaul of 20 existing ones. Every site had a full survey, air conditioning system design, costing, planning application submission and system installation. Turn Key Air Conditioning currently maintains the entire Allsports estate.

WORLDCOM.

When Worldcom moved to Reading International Business Park, the specification of the air conditioning system was critical to maintaining tight control of the environmental conditions within the main communications room and the 8 fibre optic patch rooms.TKAC designed and installed 200kw of cooling with 30kw of standby to deliver full function control. Completion of the project on time and within budget led to further air conditioning work with this client.

THE NOBLE ORGANISATION.

Coral Island, Blackpool is the flagship bar of the Noble leisure group. We were nominated to provide an air conditioning solution which not only achieved the technical specification but also blended into the very distinctive décor.

THE LAB.

The Lab is a new retail group specialising in branded sportswear and clothing.

The Lab’s instore platforms presents easy to browse products from within a unique, quality retail environment.

Lab Sport showcases some of the world's most dynamic sports brands alongside sports apparel, footwear and accessories.

Since inception in 2007 we have designed and installed the air conditioning systems for Lab outlets in Chester, Derby, Basildon and Kingston Upon Thames. Other new locations in early 2008 include Hull, Guildford and Bolton.

We were appointed by consulting engineers Status Design Associates as the principal air conditioning contractor. The work involved installing comfort cooling, inclusive of all builders works, electrical and refrigerant pipework within 6 weeks - without interruption to business. The air conditioning work involved installing the latest VRV heat pump, 19 fan coils and 4 outdoor units and was phased to minimise client disruption.

This 10,000 sqft multilevel bookstore required a high level of comfort cooling and heating. The installation was completed within the 4 week contract period. This is one of several major projects undertaken annually for this client. In addition Turn Key Air Conditioning currently maintains the entire Ottakars estate.

WILKINSON STORES.

Turn Key Air Conditioning are contracted nationally by Wilkinson to design and build the HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) systems for the group's ongoing expansion programme. We are involved from initial feasibility stage through to completion of around 10 stores per year.

The Wilkinsons Gainsborough store has a large volume of air to condition, covering 17,000 sqft. For this project we have installed three gas fired roof top units. These units have powered exhaust to provide free cooling for the store and warehouse.
