This fact has not escaped the UK government either, as this green technology did very well in a recent government consultation. The consultation was carried out in order to discover where attention needs to be focused, as some forms of renewable energy are proving to be more successful than others. This means a little development and fine tuning is required where different types of natural energy is concerned.
ASHP’s are emerging as the preferred system for many, who are currently heating their homes using this technology. A number of financial incentives have been introduced in order to promote awareness of and encourage use of renewable energy. These include the Renewable Heat Incentive, the Feed In Tariff and the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS), which are geared towards reducing carbon emissions and saving money on fuel bills. The MCS is backed by the Department of Energy and Climate Change as part of their commitment to sustainability.
